Guild Participation in Olympia's Arts Walk (Oct 6-7, 2023)

Friday, October 6  Time TBA

Saturday, October 7   Time TBA

Our Guild's Participation

The Guild will participate with the Arbutus Folk School in this Fall's Arts Walk celebration.    Our participation will take place at the Arbutus location on Friday and Saturday, Oct 6-7.    The specific times each day are to be determined.

On both days, we intend to offer three ways in which visitors can experience the joy of woodworking.

  1. Members will provide their own woodworking projects to be displayed at the Arbutus location.   (These may be offered for sale if the member so chooses.)
  2. Members will provide live demonstrations of basic woodworking skills such as planing, cutting dovetails, etc.
  3. Members will serve as "tour guides" for visitors, describing the displayed objects, the skill demonstrations, and the Arbutus woodworking shop and available Arbutus courses.

Members may volunteer to serve in any of the 3 roles above by contacting Jerry Kehoe at jkehoe@selectionconsulting.com or by signing up on the volunteer sheets available at the August and September meetings.

More information will be available later in the summer.
