About

The Olympia Woodworkers Guild was started by Bill Cogswell, Ed Beach, and Terry Liberty. We were members of the Evergreen Woodworkers Guild. EWWG  is a great group; we just became frustrated by the long commute to Edgewood, WA. So, we started this group. Our first meeting was in October 2017.

We meet every month unless otherwise stated. Meeting information will be posted here as well as on www.facebook.com/OlympiaWoodworkers. Unless otherwise stated, our meetings are the fourth Monday of each month. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the meeting starts at 7:00 PM. Typically we have announcements, show and tell, and a speaker. Meetings end at 9:00 PM.

We encourage you to come to a couple of meetings and decide whether you want to become a member. We also strongly encourage diversity among our group and we encourage women who are interested in woodworking to become part of the community.

Annual dues are $30. Dues cover your immediate family. Your membership has lots of perks.

Members receive discounts with an expanding list of woodworking businesses, including Rockler. Our members are also the first to be notified of special deals and tools/lumber for sale. Finally, certain activities like our annual shop tours are open only to members. It pays to join!
